How we test every game before we review it

April 19, 2026 · Lukas Berger

Before any score goes live, a game spends several sessions on at least two of our test phones. We want to know how it feels, not just how it looks in screenshots.

Step one is always the offline check. We install, enable airplane mode, and see what still works. A game that locks up without a signal gets flagged immediately.

Then we play for real, across different settings — a short break, a longer stretch, late at night. That tells us whether a game is a quick-hit or a keeper.

Only after all that do we write. The goal is a review that sounds like a friend telling you whether to bother, not a spec sheet.
